In the hotspot district of Miesbach, stricter corona rules already apply.

Where and for whom exactly does the 2G rule apply?

The confusion about it was great on Monday.

District

- The hospital traffic light in the Miesbach district lights up red - and the confusion about the rules now in force seems perfect.

In the health department in Miesbach on Monday (November 8th) there was an increasing number of inquiries about who has access to leisure facilities and events, where and under what circumstances.

In principle, the following applies: If you see red, you have to switch from 3G to 2G.

Particularly bitter for families: The clientele of students aged 12 and over is no longer an exception.

They too must be vaccinated or have recovered in order to gain access to the cinema or swimming pool, for example.

2G rule: The game arena fears for its visitors

Josef Niedermayer is one of those affected who were confronted with the new Corona requirements.

He runs the play arena in Bad Wiessee and groaned audibly - when asked about the subject - on Monday.

"It's all very confusing," he said of the new - Bavaria-wide - requirements when the hospital lights are red.

At the beginning of the week, Niedermayer received numerous inquiries from visitors as to whether or not they could still visit the indoor play hall with a negative PCR test.

The district office must make a clear statement: According to the ordinance, the 2G rule now applies to facilities such as the play arena, with the exception of children under 12 years of age.

Despite all the adversities: Spielarena should remain open

For Niedermayer this is the “worst case”, as he says.

He expects that around two thirds of the visitors will be absent from his play arena due to the stricter regulations.

And that at a time when Niedermayer usually does the biggest business because of the cold and wet weather.

Despite the adversity, the operator wants to keep his play paradise open - even during the week when there are hardly any visitors.

“Anything else could not be communicated,” says Niedermayer, who sounded extremely frustrated on Monday.

By the afternoon he had not received a single visitor in his play arena.

Stricter rules came into force on Sunday, midnight

The more stringent 2G rules came into force in the hotspot district of Miesbach on Sunday, midnight.

The operators of leisure facilities, sports and cultural organizers, clubs and discos had to deal with it and come to an arrangement quickly.

As reported, the catering industry will initially remain at 3G plus even when the traffic light is red.

In other words, people who can present a current negative PCR test still have access here.

Cinema operator is sorry for students who now have to stay outside

A distinction that Carmen Obermüller, operator of the cinema at Tegernsee, finds “not in order”.

“So far, the regulations in restaurants and cinemas have always been the same,” she says.

Obermüller had already updated their cinema homepage at the weekend and pointed out that in future schoolchildren will only have access if they have been vaccinated or have recovered.

Obermüller is particularly sorry for the children and young people who now have to stay outside.

"They are now totally restricted," says the cinema operator.

Obermüller knows that part of her clientele will now be absent due to the new regulation.

“Maybe others will come for it because they feel safer now,” she speculates.

2G in Batusa in Holzkirchen: There was a crisis discussion at the municipal utilities

There should also be a "crisis talk" on the new Corona situation on Monday afternoon at the Holzkirchen community works, which are responsible for both the operation of the Batusa indoor swimming pool and the ice rink. On Monday, managing director Albert Götz was still struggling with the 2G regulation, which came into force so quickly. “There has to be some air left to implement such rules,” he says. The swimming pool is a bonus business anyway - it is questionable whether the missing guests due to the new regulation are still a major factor. But Götz is also sorry for the visitors to the Batusa, who are primarily affected by the new rule. All swimming courses were recently more than full. “We noticed how hungry people were for things like that,” says Götz.

Even employees of the district office no longer see through

District office spokeswoman Stadler can well understand that many operators of leisure facilities and event organizers are unsure about which corona rules now apply.

"In view of the complexity of the regulations, it is incredibly difficult even for our employees to get through."
