Renovation postponed: Schliersee is working on the overall concept for the fire station

Schliersee - Like many others in Schliersee, the renovation of the fire station should have been carried out this year.

Like so many other things in Schliersee, it has been postponed.

As always, there was a good reason.

The Energy Working Group in Schliersee is history, but its chairman Bernd Mayer-Hubner does not want to remain completely inactive.

The Green Municipal Council has now requested the status of the energetic renovation of the fire station.

Andreas Scharli from the Oberland energy transition called this measure the most urgent and most effective after a corresponding investigation, reminded Mayer-Hubner in the meeting.

Expert three years ago: "That literally calls for action"

“That literally cries out for action,” said Scharli in the local council.

It's been three years now.

The call should have been heard and something should have progressed somewhere, according to the Greens representative.

He asked for a progress report.

Apartment becomes free and with it the way for an overall concept

As Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer (CSU) explained, everything was actually in the towel and in the budget for this year, 150,000 euros were set for the renovation of the fire station. As is so often the case, something came up. Because of a death, the communal apartment in the extension towards the main road was vacated, and because the fire brigade reported additional space requirements, the community is now considering a bigger solution - "a real space concept", as Schnitzenbaumer called it. As a consequence, this could result in a partial demolition of the cultivation. The renovation is therefore not put on the back burner. “We want to start in the spring,” said the mayor.

During his investigation in 2018, Scharli examined various municipal properties for their energy efficiency.

This also included the town hall, the building yard, the farmer's theater, the rainbow kindergarten and the Spitzingsee sewage treatment plant.

In his application, Mayer-Hubner suggested choosing the next property for renovation on the basis of this list and the aspects of thermal insulation, heating method, power consumption and photovoltaics.

This has not yet happened in the session, possibly in the next.

Until then, the administration should prepare a status report on the subject of energy consumption in municipal buildings.

Energy consumption: status report to follow

As Schnitzenbaumer and managing director Jörn Alkofer already said in the meeting, the community worked through a corresponding work list "in small pieces".

In the Vitalwelt, for example, broken lighting would be replaced by LED lamps - the municipal council refused to do this in one go years ago - and there was a new heating system in the town hall.
