Service work for Aryeh Schiff who shot to death a man who broke into his car - will not want actual imprisonment

The Be'er Sheva District Court sentenced Schiff, who was convicted in a plea bargain, of the frivolous death of Muhammad al-Trash, who tried to steal his car in November last year.

The Be'er Sheva District Court today (Tuesday) sentenced Aryeh Schiff to service death by shooting a man who broke into his car in November last year.

Schiff, who was convicted in a plea bargain, in the frivolous killing of Muhammad al-Trash, will not want actual imprisonment.

Dozens of people came to court to support Schiff.

Clashes broke out between supporters, including MK Itamar Ben Gvir, and Bedouin residents.

In July, Schiff was convicted in court based on his confession to the full facts of the indictment filed against him, and to the original offense attributed to him in the indictment, following a mediation proceeding.

As part of the plea agreement, the indictment was changed, and Schiff was convicted of consenting to the fatal killing of Alatrash, who according to the indictment tried to steal the van that was near the caravan where Schiff and his wife were sleeping at their home in Arad.

As part of the sentencing hearing, the prosecution sought to impose on Schiff a sentence of between 6-4 years of actual imprisonment, while Schiff's lawyers demanded probation and community service.

The indictment was filed after Southern District Attorney Alon Altman dismissed all of Aryeh Schiff's claims at the hearing, including his claim of self-defense.

According to the indictment, on the night of the end of November, Schiff fired his personal weapon at Alatrash, who broke into the car while wearing a mask.

Another burglar joined in and stood beside him outside the vehicle.

Only about two months after the incident, the police arrested the additional suspect involved in the burglary - an illegal resident of the 24-year-old resident of the territories.
