Steinhöring

- "Enterococci" were detected in a routine sampling in the elevated tank of the water supply of the administrative community Pfaffing (district of Rosenheim).

The municipality of Steinhöring in the district of Ebersberg is also supplied with drinking water from the municipality of Pfaffing via a drinking water connection pipe.

Based on the evidence of enterococci, the Ebersberg State Health Office ordered a decoction order to protect the population in Steinhöring.

Enterococci are bacteria, the detection of which is a clear indication of a faecal entry and which can cause gastrointestinal infections, for example.

The water in Steinhöring must be boiled as follows:

• Let the water boil once and let it cool down slowly for at least 10 minutes.

The use of a kettle is recommended for practical reasons.

Only boiled water can be used for the following purposes:

  • for drinking and for preparing beverages

  • for preparing food (including washing fruit and vegetables)

  • for the manual washing of vessels and devices in which food is prepared or stored

  • for brushing teeth

  • for cleaning open wounds

If you have any questions, please contact the Steinhöring community on 08094 - 90920.
