Last Monday (1st), the 26th United Nations Climate Conference (COP26) was officially launched in Glasgow, UK.

The conference has discussed several important agendas for tackling climate change. Among them, more than 100 countries covering 85% of the world’s forest area have reached the goal of halting deforestation by 2030, as well as a cooperation framework worth 17 billion US dollars. The country has also started consultations on the gradual replacement of coal-fired power with renewable energy.

However, people are often aware of the damage to the natural environment caused by climate change and greenhouse gases, but when there is a need to make choices and pay the price to deal with global warming, do the government and citizens realize that this is the problem of the times we are facing, and are willing Make serious changes together?

Faced with the threat of climate change, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government published the "Hong Kong Climate Action Blueprint 2050" in early October this year, and promised to complete the vision of carbon neutrality by 2050.

Although the government proposes a step-by-step approach to get rid of and improve the energy mix that used to focus on fossil fuels, the living habits of citizens, and urban infrastructure, and gradually achieve the vision of relatively zero carbon emissions, the truth is that the relevant climate blueprint still does not touch the climate. The itch of the action, that is, the above-mentioned "climate justice" issue-how will citizens, businesses, and the government share the additional expenses needed to achieve carbon neutrality?

Apart from rising electricity bills, what is the price of the public facing the green transition?

What are the initial thoughts of the government?

What is the relationship between the government and the green transformation of enterprises?

These issues are not completely touched by the "Blueprint for Climate Action".
