The Israel Animal Welfare Association, which operates an animal hospital in Tel Aviv throughout the week, today (Tuesday) launched a mass recruitment campaign to pay for a new state-of-the-art X-ray machine purchased following the shutdown of its old X-ray machine.
Gadi Whitner, a spokesman for the association, said: "We had an old X-ray machine at the hospital that was used by us for 23 years and it was constantly repaired patch by patch. This year our X-ray technician said it was no longer possible to operate the machine and needed a new machine.
"An X-ray device is critical in a hospital, when a dog arrives that has had an accident or a cat has a bowel problem, then you need a photo to find out what it has. "The patients we also intend to operate soon 24/7. The association has pledged to pay the cost of the device by 2022 so we went out on a mass fundraising campaign to get the amount," Whitner said.

As mentioned, this is a device that the Israel Animal Welfare Association has treated thousands of animals over the years and the necessity of the new device is immediate.
"We bought the device straight away and did not wait because it is impossible to save animals without it. We are really asking anyone who can help us finance it," the spokesman concludes.
The crowdfunding page opened by the association reads: "With great sorrow and gloomy grief, the old X-ray photocopier at the Animal Welfare Association's clinic in Israel came to life. An ancient X-ray machine that did its job faithfully and served The community animals, and in addition provides care for the abandoned animals that come to our shelter, who need care, shelter and protection. We purchased a new X-ray room, a next-generation copier, and we need your help in financing our commitment. The cost of the photo room as a whole is about 110,000 NIS. Please open your heart, be generous and remember that all the profits of the veterinary clinic that works 7 days a week, at the association's house in Tel Aviv are directed directly to the care of abandoned animals. Thank you for your attention and heartfelt thanks, family of the Animal Welfare Association of Israel. "
Animal Cruelty Israel emphasizes that the veterinary clinic that operates in the largest shelter complex in the country, at 159 Herzl Street in Tel Aviv, serves the community's pets in south Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Bat Yam and the surrounding area, as well as providing veterinary care for abandoned animals that come to the house. Shelter from all over the country.
The new clinic is a small veterinary hospital and operates seven days a week from eight in the morning until eight in the evening and we hope that we will soon be able to operate the hospital 24/7.
The clinic also subsidizes spaying and neutering of cats and dogs.
