2021-11-09T22:01:46.954Z

Industry leaders will convene to discuss the demand for electrical products in the days of Corona, which will be delivered on the Israel Today website • Among the topics: innovations and Black Friday

The demand for household appliances in the Corona period jumped by 30% -60%, according to the managers of the large companies that import household appliances.

In an extraordinary panel that will convene today (Wednesday) at the initiative of "Israel Today", the principals shared the lessons they reluctantly learned during the Corona crisis and the days of closure.

The panel was filmed and will be broadcast at 11:00 and the panel speakers: Nir Handler, Dyson's VP of Trade and Marketing, BNZK Trade; Moran Dai, Newpan's VP of Marketing;

Manny Dahan, Customer and Digital Experience Manager at the HI Group;

Asi Arbiv, one of the owners of the Clinton Trade Group;

Guy Ben Yehuda, VP of Marketing at GI Israel; Avi Kornfeld, Director of the Shiomi Brand in Israel; and Moshe Eisenberg, Marketing Director of Beko.

According to panelists, the surge in demand has led global manufacturers to accelerate technological developments and new models.

"In 2019, Dyson produced about 24 million vacuum cleaners. The following year, 36 million units were produced, but with the outbreak of the corona, demand exceeded production. Although we tried to get our hands on every vacuum in the world, we still did not meet demand," Handler said.

As for the sales days this month, participants said they expect a tens of percent increase in demand for electrical products.

"It started as a marketing campaign, but has become part of the routine," said one spokesman.

Participants talked about customers' preferences today, what to buy at Black Friday and what innovations to expect.

The filmed meeting will remain open for viewing on the Israel Today website after it is broadcast, and the full discussion will be published on the 22nd of the month in the newspaper's consumer supplement.
