In addition, during the night the Houston Police Chief revealed tonight that he had met with Scott before the show and expressed concern about a safety incident.

Earlier this week, Houston Mayor Sylvester Trent revealed that among the dead were two 21-year-olds, two 23-year-olds, a 27-year-old and two minors aged 14 and 16.

As mentioned, the incident occurred during a performance by rapper Travis Scott, during which the audience began to squeeze towards the front of the stage.

Scott reportedly stopped his performance several times when he noticed distressed fans near the stage.

He asked the security guards to make sure they were okay and to get them out of the crowd.

Documentation from the scene of the incident showed young people calling for the singer to stop the show after the disaster began, and their cries were apparently not heard.

According to the Houston Fire Chief, "The crowd's crowding near the stage caused some panic, and it started to cause injuries. There were dozens injured. People started falling, became unconscious and it created another panic."

An audience of 50,000 people came to the festival, which was supposed to last two days.

In view of the tragic circumstances, the second day was canceled.
