More moonlighting, financial losses, annoyed customers: Kerstin Stadler, head master of the Freising hairdressing guild, is struggling with the new corona rules.

Freising

- Bavaria's Corona traffic light is red. Among other things, this means that unvaccinated people can only visit the hairdresser with a negative PCR test.

Kerstin Stadler, head master of the Freising hairdressing and cosmetics guild, fears - similar to the lockdown - sales losses and increased migration to illegal work.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Ms. Stadler, how is the mood in your salon?

She is on the ground.

The customers are just annoyed - from the masks, from the measures and from the fact that a lot is still unclear.

People have a lot of emotions in their stomachs.

At the moment I feel less like a hairdresser and more like a lion tamer.

What effects does the 3Gplus regulation have on your work?

We continue to struggle financially with losses.

Because I cannot imagine that someone would pay between 80 and 250 euros for a PCR test just to be able to take it to the hairdresser.

In addition, the current measures are of course increasing illegal employment.

This market grew very large in the almost eleven weeks of lockdown in the spring.

I know that one or the other hairdresser was so active.

I think that this is coming up again now - especially among unvaccinated people.

Because I don't think that people who have not yet been vaccinated will stay at home or, as an alternative, get vaccinated after all.

I think these people will organize themselves differently.

How do you feel about the coming weeks?

It remains to be seen how drastic the sales losses will be.

The Christmas business will definitely be affected again.

At the same time, I'm also annoyed, because the corona infections that can be traced back to a visit to the hairdresser are still extremely low.

So I don't understand why we have to suffer from the restrictions once again.

Which arrangement would you prefer?

In my opinion, consistent testing would be useful.

Every customer who comes - regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or unvaccinated - could, for example, test themselves in front of our eyes.

Then everyone involved would be on the safe side.
