A film crew rescued a 14-year-old boy who had been trapped under a vehicle in the New York neighborhood of Brooklyn on Monday after being run over by an 80-year-old woman who was driving an SUV, according to NBC News.
The young man was walking his dog
when the driver, who was driving through the Gravesend neighborhood, lost control of her car, collided with another and then invaded the sidewalk the teenager was walking on, according to the New York Police Department.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and
no charges have been filed so far
.

was filming a block away from where the accident happened.
"My producer, Michele Francesko, grabbed me and told me that there was a child under the car, and suddenly it was chaos," explained actor and director William Demeo, "we heard the boy screaming and saw him kicking. I saw the leg. "

Demeo and a dozen other people, including members of his team and other citizens, raised the car to rescue the young man.
"We were a little nervous, fearing that if we picked him up,
God forbid the car would fall on him
, or that some part of his body would be stuck," DeMeo explained.

"As a team, we lifted the car and I saw that the boy
was bleeding from the head,
" he added.
The teenager was stable when he was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, according to police.
The driver and the 85-year-old man who was with her in the car were also stable when they were taken to NYU Langone Hospital.
"I think God put us there, so I'm personally sorry," DeMeo said, "I think we were there for a reason, that's my belief."
