Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Dachau is donating 20 raised beds for kindergartens and all-day schools in the Dachau district.
Institutions that want to secure one of the raised beds can apply to the bank with immediate effect.
he VR Bank wants to contribute with the campaign that the children experience the topics of sustainability and healthy eating in your facility in a playful way.
Children learn best when they try things out for themselves and experience them with all their senses.
By working with the beds, the children can enjoy watching the vegetables and herbs flourish.
They also learn how responsibly produced food is made and how it can be prepared healthy and tasty after the harvest.
The raised beds are made available to kindergartens and schools as a complete set with assembly instructions, seeds and material to accompany lessons.
This keeps the organizational effort to a minimum.
The project was developed in cooperation with the VR Profit Savings Association Bavaria as well as the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Bavarian Ministry of Family Affairs.
The goal: With the help of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, 2,500 raised beds are to be donated to various Bavarian childcare facilities in order to promote the sustainable education and development of the children.
Twenty of these raised beds are allocated by the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Dachau.
Press spokesman Martin Richter emphasizes: “With this campaign we are making a contribution to environmental education in the region.
We would like a lot of applications.
If more than 20 applications are received, the lot decides for the award. "
