Pakistani Riaz K. has been working in the flower center in Parsdorf for five years.

Because he had failed the final exam, he now had to return to his home country.

Parsdorf - "I'm pissed off", says Sonja Ziegltrum-Teubner, the head of the flower center in Parsdorf.

Surprisingly, she has to do without an employee whom she has valued as a reliable worker in her company for five years.

“He's probably sitting in Hof now, in this wonderful new deportation prison,” the Parsdorf entrepreneur gasps.

He will probably be flown back to his Pakistani homeland on the next plane on November 11th.

Ziegltrum-Teubner accompanied 31-year-old Pakistani Riaz K. through his training.

It was not always easy "because he only went to school for four years in Pakistan".

The training to become a gardener also includes the sale and conducting of consultations, which the trainee found difficult.

Despite good work: Pakistani is no longer allowed to work in gardening

In the end it wasn't enough for Riaz. “He failed the exam,” reports his boss. But the 31-year-old was a good worker and a trained gardener. And after all, for example, he supervised 13 students during their internship “and showed them, for example, how to properly plant a bowl. Riaz was even a role model as part of the campaign by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) for the integration of refugees in companies, ”says Ziegltrum-Teubner.

According to information from the Parsdorf entrepreneur, all Pakistani people should expect to be returned to their homeland - unless they are still in training or are recognized specialists.

After Rias K.'s training had ended but without a qualification, he received a letter from the immigration authorities of the Ebersberg district office.

"He said it was a formality and didn't even take a day off for it," reports Ziegltrum-Teubner.

Because he did not successfully complete his training: Budding gardener arrested at the train station

But when the man left the Ebersberg authorities, he was arrested at the train station in Ebersberg.

The entrepreneur does not believe that this was a coincidence.

Rather, she believes that her worker was called in with the intention of taking him into custody.

“He had a room with us and was allowed to fetch his things,” says Ziegltrum-Teubner, describing the situation.

"He had to hand over his cell phone."

The Parsdorf company has been successfully promoting the work integration of refugees for years.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has therefore appointed the company as a regional ambassador.

The commitment of the business woman from Parsdorf has already been recognized nationwide for the integration and training of refugees in the company.

Employees from 14 nations work in your company.

Great interest in gardening training among foreigners, while Germans are hardly interested in it

"The important thing about receiving this award is the appreciation and recognition of what companies do here on a small scale and within the scope of their possibilities in order to accomplish this great social task of integrating refugees," said Ziegltrum-Teubner happily at the award ceremony.

The entrepreneur is annoyed that these efforts were in vain in the case of Riaz K.

“I know that all of this is legally correct.

But I have my doubts whether it is also humanly okay. "

According to its own information, Ziegltrum-Teubner has problems finding trainees.

German students would hardly be interested in the gardening profession.

The newcomers from Pakistan and Afghanistan, from the Ukraine and Romania, on the other hand, are extremely committed to the nursery.

“Now he has to go back”, the entrepreneur regrets that Riaz K. is no longer part of it.
