Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei confirmed today that Minsk considers Crimea a Russian territory.
In statements to the Russian RIA Novosti news agency, Maki said, "Belarus' position regarding Crimea remains the same and has not changed. In fact, we are aware that Crimea is currently considered Russian territory. Let us proceed from this fact."
It is noteworthy that the residents of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in the south of the peninsula voted on March 16, 2014, by an overwhelming majority in favor of joining Russia.
