The Bolivian Ombudsman's Office reports a person who died during the protests this Tuesday on the second day of the national strike in Potosí, and asks the Public Ministry to begin the investigation to clarify the events that caused this death.
"We condemn the violence registered and the retention of people by civilians. We call to end the confrontations," said the Ombudsman on his Twitter account.
The protests began this Monday in several cities of the country such as Santa Cruz, Tarija and Cochabamba, among others.
The protesters demand that the government repeal a package of laws that they consider unconstitutional and threatening informal and independent work and the private assets of the country's citizens, among other observations.
The Pro Santa Cruz Committee confirmed the third day of strike scheduled for this Wednesday.
