The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside confirmed that the issuance of Law No. 30 of 2021 exempting imported raw materials as inputs to the local industry from customs duties will be a major driver for advancing production and prosperity and building a solid national economy.
In a statement, the Chamber, which SANA obtained a copy of, valued the issuance of the law, which came in support of the national industry and the re-cycle of industrial production.
Law No. 30 of 2021 issued today stipulates exempting imported raw materials as inputs to the local industry and subject to a customs fee of 1% of the customs duties specified in the customs tariff schedule, as well as exempting them from taxes and other fees imposed on import.
