The Cologne Carnival Festival Committee therefore canceled all appearances for the triumvirate in the coming days on Wednesday evening.
The double-vaccinated designated Prince Sven Oleff has no symptoms and feels good under the circumstances, it said in a message.
Even if the farmer and the virgin of the triumvirate were also tested negative by PCR test on Wednesday, all public appearances of the three are to be suspended in the coming days.
The fun trio had met several times in the past few weeks, it was said to justify.
Safety comes first, even if he is sad not to be able to start the session with the Cologne kids, said Oleff.
"Because of its many appearances, the triumvirate has a special responsibility that goes beyond legal requirements," said Christoph Kuckelkorn, President of the Cologne Carnival Festival Committee.
"That is why it was immediately clear to the three of them: We would stay away from all carnival activities until the situation has been clarified through new tests or the possible illness has been overcome."
Despite the sharp rise in corona incidences, the new carnival season is to open on Thursday at 11.11 a.m. with thousands of celebrants.
The 2G rule applies in the strongholds of Cologne and Düsseldorf: In the closed party zones outside, only vaccinated and convalescent people have access.
