The Brucker Christkindlmarkt on the Volksfestplatz is canceled.
This is announced by the city of Fürstenfeldbruck.
Fürstenfeldbruck - The Brucker Christkindlmarkt, which should have started on the Volksfestplatz for the first time on November 26th, will not be there. The corona numbers have caused the city to cancel. Instead, individual stalls should be set up in the city.
"It's a shame, because at the Leonhardifahrt we saw that people want events again," says Bruck's Mayor Erich Raff. Until Monday evening, they were still in good spirits to be able to hold the Christmas market. After all, they had moved from the cattle market to the fairground in order to be able to straighten out the market.
"But with the increasing incidence and the red hospital traffic light, we now have completely new requirements," says the mayor. In addition, it is not certain that people will accept a market with a 2G rule. The financial risk for both the Fieranten and the city is too great. That's why they decided on Tuesday evening to cancel the Christmas market.
25 Fieranten had already confirmed their participation.
Jürgen Schröter, event manager of the city, wants to approach them to work out an alternative offer with them.
Individual stalls could be set up at three to four different locations - for example on the main street or on the cattle marketplace.
Quasi a kind of winter in the city, analogous to the summer in the city in Munich.
“We also support Fieranten who want to come to Bruck with their own car,” says Raff. Ad
That was the first report
Due to the explosively increasing corona numbers, more and more events are currently being canceled.
Now it is clear: the Brucker Christkindlmarkt will not take place either.
The city still wants to communicate information on this and on a possible pre-Christmas alternative offer in the city center and on Geschwister-Scholl-Platz.
