Unterallgäu - Never before have there been so many corona cases in Unterallgäu as there are currently.

The seven-day incidence hit a new high on Wednesday at 548.7.

The health department at the Unterallgäu district office is therefore under great pressure.

In order to relieve the authority, the district office asks to observe various things.

According to the health department, anyone who has been infected with the corona virus must immediately go into isolation. In addition, those affected should inform their contact persons immediately. Those who have tested positive can receive further information in writing from the health department. Individual support by telephone is no longer possible. When it comes to individual case processing, the health department is currently concentrating on sensitive areas such as institutions for the elderly and the disabled, schools and day-care centers.

Since the large number of telephone inquiries cannot be dealt with at the moment, the office asks that you first find out more on the website of the district office or on the websites of the ministries. If you have any questions, it is best to send an email to the respective contact person in the district office. An overview of who is the right point of contact for which topic can be found on the Internet at www.unterallgaeu.de/corona.

You currently need a little patience at the vaccination center in Bad Wörishofen. According to the Unterallgäu coordinating doctor Dr. Carola Winkler has been in high demand since last week. In addition, the number of first vaccinations continues to rise. That is why there are currently longer waiting times in the Bad Wörishofer vaccination center. In order to avoid this and to serve everyone who needs a vaccination as quickly as possible, the opening times are to be extended again. The next steps are currently being clarified with those responsible at the vaccination center in Memmingen. The Bad Wörishofer vaccination center is currently open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You still don't need an appointment for a vaccination at the vaccination center.

According to Winkler, the booster vaccination will be injected at the earliest six months after the first two doses of the vaccine.

There is an exception for people who have been vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Here the booster vaccination is given four weeks later.
