The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with the Executive Director of the World Food Program David Beasley and his accompanying delegation ways to enhance and expand joint cooperation between the two sides by increasing the support provided to Syria, which will have a positive impact on the lives of citizens.
Minister Makhlouf stressed during the meeting the importance of coordination, joint action and rapid response to the population's requirements to achieve the goal that the program and the Higher Relief Committee aspire to and implement more projects to reach the recovery stage, noting the efforts provided by the program in Syria to raise the level of support and aid.
Beasley, for his part, indicated that he is looking forward to expanding the scope of the program’s work in Syria, securing the necessary support for the needy and the poor, and establishing sustainable projects in their areas that contribute to improving their livelihoods and the quality of their food, indicating that work will be done to overcome all obstacles that impede the rapid response.
