There is a nursing emergency in Germany.

The district clinic also urgently needs staff, which it is increasingly recruiting abroad.

Apartments are now to be built for 23 nurses - opposite the main entrance, next to the parking garage.

Ebersberg The approximately 650 square meter area on the corner of Pfarrer-Guggetzer- and Haggenmillerstraße was previously used as a storage area for the hospital construction sites.

Now, staff apartments are to be created here in modules with a simple construction method with twelve parking spaces - implemented by the Ebersberg residential building company.

Cost point: around three million euros.

The City Council's Technical Committee gave the go-ahead.

Pro Ebersberg criticizes the oops-hops process

Gerd Otter (Pro Ebersberg) criticized the oops-hops procedure, referring to the building application submitted at very short notice from the district office, which was only added to the meeting's agenda at a later date.

That shows how the district is putting the city under pressure, said Otter, "I don't like that".

He had voted against the preliminary building request for this project around two years ago.

At that time, the vote in the Technical Committee only just came out in favor of the residential modules.

Study: Kreisklinik has more than enough parking spaces

Now the committee unanimously votes in favor, probably also because the district clinic had previously put a study on the table that showed that despite all the construction work in recent years, it has sufficient parking spaces for employees and visitors. This had been questioned again and again from the political side, but not least also from the residents of the regularly blocked-up district. The investigation carried out by the WipflerPlan office in Grasbrunn states that the clinic currently has 370 parking spaces. In fact, 545 parking spaces are already available - spread over ten locations. Surplus: 175 parking spaces. Even if the emergency room and the nursing home on Pfarrer-Guggetzer-Straße are newly built, the clinic will have a surplus of over 160 parking spaces by 2025,said Gregor Schober from the WipflerPlan office. The Technical Committee took note of the figures and approved them as a basis for further planning, albeit not without critical comments.

CSU demands: Update parking space statutes

Alexander Gressierer (CSU) recalled his party's old proposal to finally put the city's current parking regulations, which are 15 years old, to the test.

The figures presented in the report are "arithmetical evidence" that is in contrast to daily practice.

In view of the constant traffic in the area of the clinic looking for a parking space, the clinic must create additional parking spaces (ideally in the depths) “in order to maintain its attractiveness”.

SPD colleague Christoph Münch contradicted this: "If I have a heart attack, I judge the clinic on the quality of the treatment and not on whether there is a parking space."

Hans Hilger (CSU) said that the district clinic was favored, but the parking problem was "glaring".

The hospital must endeavor to create enough parking spaces for patients, visitors and staff.

It is a pity that from the clinic, there was no concession to be felt.

Harald Gangkofer, construction expert at the district clinic, said that his house offers more parking spaces than is required by law.

Nevertheless, it is planned to create additional parking space, for example by expanding the multi-storey car park.
