The quantities of the beloved cotton that have been ginned at the Al-Asi gin in Hama since the start of the ginning operations at the beginning of this month until now has reached about 500 tons, out of the total quantities received from the eastern governorates, which amount to 1140 tons.
The director of the gin, Yasser Halabiya, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the outputs of the ginning operations included 280 tons of industrial seeds and 200 tons of ginned cotton, and the rest is dust and secondary waste, pointing out that the cotton ginning process is carried out through three ginning machines with a capacity of about 60 tons per day that can be increased later. To a larger quantity if needed.
Halabiya said that the operations of receiving the beloved cotton continue from the eastern governorates, where the received quantities amounted to 780 tons from the farmers of Deir ez-Zor governorate and 400 tons from Raqqa, pointing out that the ginning products are stored in warehouses designated for this purpose, to be shipped later to the spinning and weaving companies and oil factories. in various provinces.
Last season, the Al-Asi gin in Hama received about 3,890 tons of the beloved cotton from the farmers of the eastern provinces, which were completely ginned.
