The minister said in an interview with Network B that he too has become the target of vaccine opponents: "There are nasty attacks on doctors' networks" • On the possibility of vaccinating children in schools: "I do not know if this will happen in the first stage" "Our teams are investigating"

A few hours before the IDF meeting at which the 11-5-year-olds' vaccines against Corona are expected to be approved, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said this morning (Wednesday) on the "This Morning" program here on Network B that "I have threats, too."

He said, "People on the expert team do not want to be exposed because of the threats and intimidation. There are nasty attacks on the networks against doctors, against those who lead the system. People give their souls for health and suffer threats."

Regarding the possibility of students being vaccinated in schools, Minister Horowitz added: "I do not know if this will happen already in the first stage. If it seems that this is what should be vaccinated wherever possible."

On Pfizer's new drug to Corona, Horowitz noted that "our teams are investigating the matter. If we come to the conclusion that we need the drug - we will get it."

At the same time, Minister Horowitz was interviewed by the GLC - and criticized Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, against the background of her stormy tweet yesterday. "There was no pike at all," Horowitz said.

"I am happy that we were able to overcome this wave without closures and without a mass shutdown."

He added that "our lessons are not to make a graduation party and not to abolish all restrictions, as the previous government did when it abolished the bodies that dealt with Corona. We will keep the units running because we need to be prepared for what comes next".

"There will be enough vaccines"

Horowitz explained that "once the decision is made to allow children to be vaccinated - vaccines will be available at all HMOs and it will be possible to start the operation. We are stocked up and there should be no problem."

Meanwhile, Israel Today published an interview this morning with the head of the team dealing with epidemics, Dr. Tal Brosh, who said, among other things, that "the issue of threats and personal risk to members of the IDF is very significant. We are neither elected officials nor public officials. I feel sorry for Dr. Sharon Elrai Price who receives threats, which is shocking.

I personally received threats and have not checked social networks since.

I rarely look at talkbacks, which is shocking.

They write to me 'criminal', 'get money from Pfizer', 'child killer'.

I do not feel that my life is threatened, but I am afraid that there may be a person who decides that he has stood up and taken action, and will use violence even against me. "

Speaking at the hearing this evening, Dr. Brosh said: "I think they will indeed recommend a vaccine for children. We have seen that the FDA and the CDC have recommended it. The position of the Ministry of Health is positive and the position of the Association of Pediatrics is positive.

He said, "Some of the dilemmas discussed will be the issue of vaccinating children with positive serology. Pfizer's study had a certain rate of children recovering, and that gives us safety information about vaccinated children who have been vaccinated. The benefit to those recovering from the vaccine is smaller."
