A hooded 14-year-old teenager entered the Carnot high school in Roanne (Loire) on Tuesday, November 9 at around 3 p.m., we learned from the Roanne prosecutor's office.
The young man seized a fire extinguisher present in the corridors of the establishment then went to a class where a history-geography lesson was given and sprayed the teacher and students.
Several began to cry, including the teacher, and took refuge under tables.

The screams alerted a teacher from a neighboring class who immediately intervened and tried to restrain the teenager.
A fight ensued in which the teacher fell heavily on the stairs.
The teenager in question has fled.
He was arrested two hours later by police in the streets of Roanne thanks to the report of several witnesses.
He was immediately taken into police custody.
For the time being, the investigators are unaware of the motivations of the suspect who was not
"particularly"
known to the police services and who did not attend the benches of the Carnot high school, according to Abdelkrim Grini, the public prosecutor of Roanne.
Several witnesses were also heard.

An investigation was opened for intrusion into a school establishment and aggravated violence with a weapon on a person entrusted with a public service mission.
The injured professor suffers from rather serious bruises and in particular from a heavy cervical sprain.
He was hospitalized and prescribed two days of temporary incapacity for work (ITT).
Investigations are continuing.
The public prosecutor should give a press conference at the courthouse this Thursday after the lifting of custody of the young suspect.
