Zorneding
- The residents of an agricultural property in Zorneding had proverbial luck in misfortune on Wednesday early in the morning.
A resident noticed crackling noises around 5:45 a.m.
In search of the cause, she discovered a fire in the roof structure of the apartment building.
She left the house with the rest of the residents and alerted the fire department.
Major alarm for all surrounding fire brigades
When the Zornedingen emergency services arrived, a clear glow of fire was already visible through the stairwell.
The head of operations initiated a major alarm for the surrounding fire brigades.
Despite the extremely narrow access to the building, the turntable ladder could be brought into position in the outside area.
Two troops under heavy respiratory protection took over the fire fighting inside.
The source of the fire could be localized quickly and spread to the entire roof structure prevented, reports district fire chief Uli Kloske.
The forces of the fire brigades Pöring and Eglharting provided support in the search for embers in the adjacent part of the building.
The arrival of the fire brigades from Harthausen, Vaterstetten and Alxing, as well as the command group of the district was no longer necessary due to the rapid success of the extinguishing.
The cause of the fire was probably a technical defect.
