Just before Hanukkah, the holiday in which dozens of plays, shows and festivals will compete for the children's hearts and parents' pockets - we got a glimpse of the rehearsals of one of the intriguing shows: "The Maccabees: The Last Battle", an original musical that tells the story of the Hasmonean Rebellion.
To the historical story, strong and significant female characters were added to the stage version, such as Yehudit HaMaccabi (Rinat Gabay), who leads the plot alongside Yehuda HaMaccabi (Tal Musari).
The heroic Maccabees Rinat Gabay and Tal Musari are joined by actor and comedian Uriel Tsabari as Antiochus, Emanuel Levy as his wife, actor Yehuda Bohbot as Shimon HaMaccabi and network star Taylor Malkov as Nemesis.
