Ampertal

- It will be there again in 2022: the calendar with photos by forester Hans-Helmut Holzer and photographer Elke Ritthaler.

Up until now it was trees that the two captured in pictures both in their calendars and in their exhibition at the Uferlos Festival 2019, but the topic is more broadly defined in their latest joint project: “Pictures from the Ampertal cultural area” overwrites the current one Project of the two.

And these pictures will not only fill the calendar for the year 2022, but they will also be on display in exhibitions in the communities of the Ampertal Valley.

Who knows the works of the two, who has already seen what an undisguised view Ritthaler and Holzer have on nature, who knows about their ability to press the trigger at the right moment, to especially magical moods and often almost mystical moments He also knows that the new project will be at least as expressive as anything you've seen of the two so far. With their pictures, Elke Ritthaler and Hans-Helmut Holzner always want to sharpen the eye for the treasures of nature in the immediate vicinity. It does happen that they photograph a motif at many different times, lighting and weather conditions in order to end up with what they consider to be the best result for their calendar. A passion, which the congenial team - and this is also new - will receive funding for the first time this year: Thanks to Kickstart Kultur Freising. The initiative of the Freisinger Bank and Uferlos Kultur und Veranstaltungs GmbH supports artists from the Freising catchment area with a grant of 1500 euros each. This year, the grant covers part of the costs for printing the exhibition photos or the calendar.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Specifically, you can look forward to pictures of the unique natural and habitat in the Ampertal in the new calendar, characterized by a high number of animal and plant species as well as very different forms of economic use such as agriculture and forestry.

The proven photographer duo Ritthaler-Holzer would like to raise awareness of this cultural area with their pictures, but also with a lot of information.
