traffic difficulties greater than those observed on an ordinary Wednesday

", in particular towards the toll barriers of the A1, A4, A10 motorways, A13 and A6 as well as on the ring road and the A86.

The traffic information center then suggests several recommendations:

  • leave or cross the Île-de-France before 2 p.m.

  • avoid leaving or crossing major cities between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

  • avoid the A13 motorway between Paris and Rouen, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • avoid the A10 motorway between Orléans and Tours, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • avoid the A7 motorway between Salon-de-Provence and Marseille, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • avoid the A8 motorway between Aix-en-Provence and Brignoles and from Cannes to Italy, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • avoid the A9 motorway between Orange and Narbonne, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • avoid the A43 motorway between Lyon and Chambéry, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
