The president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, announced that he will sell the presidential plane and that no public official should travel on the "front line."
According to the president, the money from the sale of the plane will be used for health and education programs for Peruvian children.
The announcement recalls the same decision of the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who is about to reach the middle of his government, has failed to fulfill his campaign promise to sell the presidential plane that his predecessors bought.
