The former president of Panama was facing trial on charges of espionage.
It is the second trial, the same result: a trial court in Panama acquitted former President Ricardo Martinelli this Tuesday for the second time in the case of alleged interceptions of communications and monitoring and persecution without judicial authorization against businessmen, politicians, leaders and journalists, among others.
According to the Court, it was not possible to prove that the former president was behind the espionage between 2012 and 2014 during his mandate.
