There are rumors that the 6.2 million euros set for municipal housing cannot be kept within walls.

- The XXL construction site at Oberfeldring was only a few meters away when Mauern's mayor Georg Krojer invited the town's assembly to the multi-purpose hall on Monday evening.
The town hall chief was able to report to a good 100 guests that there are many more previous construction sites than just municipal housing.
"We do a lot ourselves, which saves us a lot of money," said Krojer, referring to a whole package of infrastructure measures. Roads, bridges and parts of the sewer system were straightened or renewed. The mayor was satisfied that the renovation of Birkenstrasse could be completed before winter. This measure is also a thank you to the residents for the inconvenience as an alternative route during the construction of the new bridge on the state road.
Of course, Krojer also reported on municipal housing construction, where the roof structure will be erected in the next few weeks.
A citizen wanted to know what the rumor was that the total cost of 6.2 million euros would not be sustainable.
"We have already awarded 80 percent of the services and are two percent above the calculation," said Krojer.
“That's a good 120,000 euros.” He was confident that the plan value could be kept in the final bill.

In general, Krojer was satisfied with the development.
The municipality got through the Corona period financially quite satisfactorily.
The current debt is 3.8 million euros, of which around 2.5 million euros relate to municipal housing.
These liabilities are profitable debts that would come back through renting out the 27 apartments.
There was also a question as to why the community did not operate the photovoltaic system in the residential complex itself.
The mayor said that the solar system was not very lucrative due to the drastically reduced remuneration.
With the energy cooperative as operator, the electricity generated can be sold directly to the tenants on site.
Castle Christmas is currently hanging by a thread
And then Krojer turned to the castle Christmas. The particularly atmospheric Christmas market had to be canceled last year due to the lockdown and this year is hanging by a thread because of the currently so strong increase in the number of infections. The mayor made it clear that they were currently torn. "If there is any way we can hold the castle Christmas," he said when asked by a citizen. Otherwise, the traditional date on the Saturday before the first Advent would have to be canceled in good time so that clubs would not rush through various material purchases and get stuck with the goods. At the moment the community is already making the preparations and making the booths beautiful.
According to the mayor, there is currently no deadline when the thumb will definitely go up or down regarding the important event.
Georg Krojer said that the community would then ask a list of all participating associations and institutions for a mood picture as to whether the current Corona rules should usher in the Advent season on the Schlosswiese.
Christmas markets in Freising and Neufahrn have already been canceled
While Wauern is still thinking about it, the first municipalities have already canceled their events: In Freising there will be no Christmas market on Marienplatz this year, and the popular Christmas market on the market square in Neufahrn has also been canceled.
After all: In Neufahrn, the community wants to hold on to the ice rink, which will be set up shortly before Christmas.
