The Russian Federal Security Service announced today the arrest of a resident of the city of Yalta in the Crimea on charges of spying for Ukraine.
And the Russia Today website quoted the authority as saying in a statement that “the arrested worked between 2017 and 2018 to collect sensitive data that amounted to state secrets and handed them over to the Ukrainian intelligence service,” noting that these data relate to employees of the Russian Federal Security Services.
A lawsuit has been filed against the detainee for high treason, and he faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
It is noteworthy that on the 23rd of last August, Russian security arrested a Ukrainian intelligence agent in the city of Tula, while he was collecting data on Russian weapons.
