School social worker Alexandra Miller reports how the young people are doing and why the youth centers of the district youth council are sticking to the 3G rule.
The 44-year-old is a social pedagogue and family therapist and has been accompanying the 9th, 10th and 11th grades at the Oberhaching Business and Middle School for three years.
What is the mood like among the young people?
I experience the students as stressed and tense.
Regardless of 2G or 3G, I have the impression that they are now inexperienced in social interaction.
They feel safe with their closest friends.
But in larger groups they are quickly confused, a stupid look or a stupid comment is enough.
I have a lot of conversations with students who are anxious and frustrated.
After the interruptions, the social togetherness could not be consolidated.
There is no training.
Even committed teachers are thinner.
What is the situation of the unvaccinated students?

Today a teacher wanted to visit a training fair with her senior class.
Because the traffic light jumped to 2G, two thirds could not go and were schooled.
One student was annoyed that he did not have the second vaccination yet, another said: No problem, I take part in the online job advice service.
Does 2G bring more pressure into the classroom?

As positive or negative as their parents rate the vaccination, the children usually do it.
Depending on how vehement you are in your opinion, it leads to the fact that you can no longer be with each other.

What do you wish?
That the young people can have more ease.
The middle school students in the final classes have little idea what they could do for a living.
They meet up with friends less often, do not go to the movies and do not pursue their hobbies.
At the same time, everything is expected of them; no one has changed the curriculum.
It pulls the soil away from the youngsters.
I hear from many that they are looking for or have started therapeutic support because everything is getting too much for them.
How should improvements be made?
Politicians should set a clear line.
It is far too vague.
At the Kreisjugendring, 3G continues to apply to students outside of school.
This is important.
The work in the youth centers was put on hold for far too long, there is a lack of counseling and support, which is a disaster.
I would like adults to draw their conclusions and get vaccinated so that there is more protection for the vulnerable group of children and adolescents who are not vaccinated.
