Small village, great growth

Now they have to say goodbye to another free space, which was also difficult for the local councils in the building committee on Monday.

Because exactly above this depression seven single-family houses are now planned, and apparently unavoidable.

"That changes the village image tremendously", prophesied Christiane Gruber (BGH).

Widdersberg

- Six years ago an outcry could be heard through the tranquil Widdersberg when the valley on Dorfstrasse was to be built with four instead of the two single-family houses provided for in the master plan. In the first attempt, they were even able to successfully spoil the project for the client. When a property developer was planning six houses and underground garages shortly afterwards, it became too much for the local councils. A change was blocked and a development plan was drawn up. In 2019, four single-family houses were finally built.

The area above the depression is currently only loosely developed with four buildings. There is no development plan. Seven two-story single-family houses are now to be built on the open space and a corresponding access road from Dorfstrasse. The buildings with pitched roofs are each to have a floor area of 90 square meters. According to the type and extent of the structural use, the project fits into the surrounding area, explained Oliver Gerweck from the Herrsching Building Authority, “we don't know of any reason for rejection”. At that time in the valley, the client was slowed down with a development plan, in this case this is not possible. Building authority director Guido Finster said that the community could even be liable for damages in this case.

“There isn't a single tree left,” regretted Christiane Gruber.

She could not bring herself to approve the project, even if the congregation did not have a handle.

Roland Lübeck (CSU) could not share these concerns.

"I think that's good.

You can do that well, ”he said.

Even if he was pretty much alone with this opinion, his fellow councilors agreed with him - with the exception of Christiane Gruber, who with her conscience could not submit to the facts.

Her group colleague Dr.

Rainer Guggenberger voted for the project, even though the access road costs him too much space.

“It takes up just as much space as the buildings.” His advice was taken up.
