The director of the Foundation’s branch, Engineer Sami Halil, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the amount of citrus that has been retrieved so far has reached 75 tons, while the amount of marketed apples has reached 150 tons, at marketing prices ranging between 500 and 900 per kilo of apples, according to their classification, pointing out that the purchase price of citrus fruits is 750 for the first elite and 575 for the second elite.
Hillel pointed out that the process of harvesting the crops continues until the end of the season, and the Foundation pays the price of the packaging and transportation fees, in addition to the commission of the Hal market, which saves the farmer 300 pounds per kilogram.
