The MIF Expo is back in force

2021-11-10T10:44:26.553Z

MIF Expo, which brings together more than 800 companies that manufacture in France, is being held in Paris from November 11 to 14, 2021.

During its first edition, in 2012, MIF Expo, the “made in France” fair, welcomed 70 exhibitors.

This year, they will be 800 at the Paris exhibition center, Porte de Versailles.

And 100,000 visitors are expected for this 9th edition against 15,000 in 2012. If MIF Expo could not be held in 2020 due to a pandemic, it is back in force.

It takes place from November 11 to 14.

“It is a barometer of the“ made in France ”market,

explains Fabienne Delahaye, founder of MIF Expo.

Both businesses and consumers have realized that in order to preserve the jobs, know-how, environment and wealth of a country, we must consume local and therefore “made in France” and stop importing what we can manufacture at home.

The crisis has amplified and made visible the phenomenon of dependence on foreigners. ”

Regional courses

This growth applies to all sectors of activity: textiles, furniture, industry, gastronomy, jewelry, cosmetics.

"More and more young people from the best schools are embarking on the adventure of 'made in France'",

rejoices Fabienne Delahaye.

This trend can be read in all sectors of activity.

For example, the zero waste organic and natural cosmetics company Lamazuna, Les Jupons de Louison, Les Umbrellas de Cherbourg, Le Slip français and Daan Tech, which markets the smallest dishwasher in the world, attest to this.

“These young people know how to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation,”

notes the founder of MIF Expo.

The show offers two routes with, on one side, the different fields of activity and, on the other, the regional pavilions.

For this 9th edition, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is the guest of honor, with 74 exhibiting companies.

An additional showcase

“More and more regions come and financially help companies in their area to exhibit at the show,”

explains Fabienne Delahaye.

Some companies could not come without this funding from their region.

It is a virtuous circle because, at the end of the show, some confide in being able to recruit employees, to invest or to innovate. ”

For businesses, MIF Expo is an opportunity to offer themselves an additional showcase to meet consumers and generate sales.

Thus,

"91% of visitors make purchases on site and nearly half of them spent more than 100 euros during the last edition"

assures Fabienne Delahaye.

In 2019, the 1083 brand, which notably manufactures jeans, achieved 60,000 euros in turnover at the show.

Finally, although it is a general public event, more than 2,000 professional visitors - Monoprix, Galeries Lafayette, Gamme vert… - come to the show to identify “made in France” products likely to find a place in their shelves.
