The Hospital Authority stated that it will issue certification documents to patients with weak immunity who have received two injections, including those who have received immunosuppressive treatment for tumors or blood cancers in the past year. Patients who have received organ transplantation or stem cell transplantation and are receiving immunosuppressive therapy, etc., so that they can get the third shot as soon as possible.

The five specific groups of patients with weakened immunity are:

1. Are currently receiving or have received immunosuppressive therapy for tumor or blood cancer in the past 12 months

2. Have received an organ transplant or stem cell transplant and are receiving immunosuppressive therapy

3. Severe primary immunodeficiency or long-term dialysis treatment

4. Late or untreated HIV infection

5. Are receiving immunosuppressive drugs or have received immunosuppressive chemotherapy or radiation therapy in the past six months

The Hospital Authority will immediately issue relevant supporting documents to the above patients who have completed two doses of vaccinations and return to the hospital for follow-up or receiving treatment services in the near future. If the patient does not have a follow-up date in the near future, the hospital will continue to notify by phone or mail The relevant arrangements are convenient for them to receive the third dose within four weeks to six months after the second dose of vaccine. If the patient concerned has completed the second dose of vaccine for more than six months, they can go directly to the first dose according to the category of chronically ill patients. For the three doses of vaccine, the above certification documents are not required.
