The friends of the city of Erding sprayed cautious optimism at their annual general meeting.
Erding - For almost two years, the association of the Friends of the City of Erding had not taken place, regretted chairwoman Johanna Heindl in the general meeting in the restaurant by the swimming pool.
The association had planned many events in the recent past, almost everything fell victim to the corona pandemic.
Above all, the failure of the tower slider ball would have hurt, reported Heindl, who had the next bad news ready. The friends of the city of Erding always organize this together with TSV Erding: "After a long discussion, the result was that the ball should not be held in 2022 either." The pandemic is not over yet, the risk is too great, said Heindl to justify the co-organizers. The chairwoman, however, is combative: “We want to use all our strength to ensure that the tower slider ball can take place again in 2023. Under no circumstances should he die a corona death. "
After all, the annual trip of the association in 2022 (from May 15 to 18) with some beautiful days on Lake Como should go back on the stage.
A tour of the soon-to-be-finished Sophienhospiz and the sheep's head race in Pretzen are already planned for this November.
Hiding Easter eggs, attending a folk festival or activities for school children - everything that has not existed in recent years, the association wants to tackle again with full vigor.
With the number of members, there would be light at the end of the tunnel, said Johanna Heindl.
Although this fell to 251 men and women, recently they were happy about two newcomers, and the downward trend should hopefully be over.
Financially, the friends of the city of Erding are in excellent shape, as treasurer Siegfried Wolter reported. In the 2019/20 financial year there was already a plus with income of 4751 euros and expenses of 3640 euros, and this trend continued in 2020/21. During this period, with income of 3874 euros and expenses of 2414 euros, there was a further surplus, the assets rose to a total of 25,134 euros as of September 30, 2021.
The new elections for the board of directors followed: Heindl once again made himself available as chairwoman and received the vote of all 29 eligible voters. She thanked for the trust and said with a laugh: "I would have liked to have wished you a younger one." There were also unanimous results for the other items: Martin Neumaier (2nd chairman), Franz Lex (3rd chairman), Siegfried Wolter (Treasurer), Willi Hahn (Secretary), Jürgen Beil, Erwin Dosch, Rainer Fleck, Josef Hochholzer, Sabine Koppe and Rainer Koppe (all assessors).
The official part of the meeting ended after a good half an hour, after which Udo and Hartmut Czauderna cast a spell over everyone with the interesting story of the family's arduous flight from Silesia after the Second World War until they finally arrived in Erding.
Many of those present realized how good things are in spite of all the crises today.
