For the first time in Eichenau, Markus Hausberger is a candidate for mayoral election next summer.

And in the interview with the Brucker Tagblatt he shows himself to be very self-confident.

Eichenau -

You are the first candidate from the Greens to apply for the mayor's office in Eichenau.

Historically or also important now for the community?

As well as.

We are currently experiencing a social, ecological and economic change.

As a society, we face major, but not insoluble, challenges.

We need affordable living space, but we cannot simply grow into the sky.

New projects have to fit into the townscape.

The way we build and what building materials we use is also an important issue.

The requirements for apartments have changed.

The question of fast internet and a study arises more and more often.

Other and new mobility and energy concepts are also in demand.

Housing, living, building, mobility and energy are economic and ecological issues.

A Green Mayor is needed to meet these challenges.

What was the decisive point for your candidacy?

If you want change, you have to stand up for it.

Like every other person, in my life I have always been upset about things that affected me indirectly or directly.

Even in my youth I came to the conclusion: I can either get upset about it or try to change something.

When I dealt with the candidacy, the familiar question arose again.

My answer: I don't want to get upset about what others are doing.

I want to change something myself, that's why I'm running.

That was also the case during the fight for more noise protection on the Transgourmet site, at that time you were involved as a citizen.

A helpful experience for the election campaign?

Definitely: question everything critically and check everything again for plausibility.

Probably the most important experience as an affected citizen was the feeling that one's own fears and concerns were not being appreciated.

After it was possible to prove false information by the operator in the noise reports, this gradually improved.

Initially, however, my colleagues and I were given the feeling that we were troublemakers.

That is why it is important to me for future projects and decisions to get Eichenauer on board as early as possible.

So far, Peter Münster and Peter Zeiler have been their competitors, heavyweights in Eichenau politics.

Load or pleasure?

Definitely lust.

With this choice, the Eichenauers have the opportunity to choose between two well-known candidates or to commission a new one to change.

Perhaps there will be one or the other candidacy.

Diversity can only be beneficial.
