44 cases against one infiltrator: High crime is there, but a treatment plan - no | Israel today

2021-11-11T21:56:24.894Z

44 cases have been opened against one infiltrator from January 2020 to August this year • For about 5.3% of illegal immigrants a case has been opened in the last 19 months • The problem: Unlike Israeli citizens, the infiltrators can not be tracked to prevent the next crime • Enforcement system: " The situation is not normal "

44. This is the number of cases opened for one infiltrator, from January 2020 to August 2021. This is according to police data obtained by Israel Today.

The data show that although dozens of cases against infiltrators are being opened, they are returning to the streets time and time again and are suspected of committing crimes.

The information also shows that unlike an Israeli citizen, who the law enforcement agencies have the ability to follow and prevent from committing the next crime, there is no such ability against the infiltrators.

"It is not normal, the state is losing control of them," a source in the law enforcement system told Israel Today. "It is not normal for infiltrators to have more than 40 cases opened against them in a year and a half."

The police data were revealed in response to a request for freedom of information submitted by the "Central Station Envelope" organization, which fights illegal immigration to Israel.

The data show that a total of 7,150 criminal cases have been opened in the last 19 months for 1,531 infiltrators.

According to estimates by the Population and Immigration Authority, the number of adult infiltrators in Israel is about 30,000, which means that about 5.3% of them have a criminal case opened in the last 19 months.

The record for cases for a single infiltrator, as stated, is 44 cases, but the data show a worrying finding, according to which in these months between 30 and 43 criminal cases were opened against 12 infiltrators (each).

At the same time, 30-20 criminal cases were opened against 42 infiltrators;

20-10 criminal cases were opened against 139 illegal immigrants;

10-3 cases were opened against 537 infiltrators;

Two cases were opened against 268 infiltrators;

One veteran against 543 illegal immigrants.

"Unlike Israeli citizens, tracking the infiltrators is more difficult because they do not have an orderly address," explains a source in the enforcement system. "It makes it difficult for the police to prevent them from committing the next crime."

At the top: Tel Aviv District

As expected, the Tel Aviv district was the district with the highest number of foreign crime cases in 2020.

Of all the foreign cases last year, the most common offenses were against public order (44.1%), against a body (39.9%) and against property (25.7%).

At the same time, police data regarding the distribution of foreign cases by crime in the years 2020-2019 show that in 2019, 1,363 cases were opened for public order offenses, while in 2020, 1,463 cases were opened.

In addition, 1,392 cases were opened in 2019 against offenses against a body, and in 2020 the number of cases for this cause was 1,323 cases.

Beyond that, 949 cases were opened in 2019 for property offenses, while in 2020 the number was 852. In moral offenses, 498 cases were opened to foreigners in 2019, compared to 412 in 2020, and in fraud cases 198 cases were opened, compared to 177 cases in 2020.

In sexual offenses, there was a slight increase in the number of cases from 125 in 2019 to 126 in 2020, while in economic offenses, licensing offenses and administrative offenses, 109 cases were opened to foreigners in 2019, compared with 114 in 2020. In security offenses, 46 cases were opened compared to 37.

"We have known for years that the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood is a leader in the crime index in the city of Tel Aviv," said the "Central Station Envelope" organization.

"We also know that Neve Sha'anan is a police force like East Jerusalem, and we know about all the crime that is not reported in the media."

"Daily fights"

According to them, "there are fights and stabbings on a daily basis, robberies, drug trafficking, trafficking in stolen property, prostitution.

The data revealed by the police are just the tip of the iceberg.

There are thousands of other cases of unreported crime within the foreign population, including severe domestic violence, and thousands of cases where citizens do not complain or the complaint does not reach an investigation, including vandalism, riots and stone-throwing of gangs of children roaming the streets and streets of neighborhoods. "Everyone that the police will not really investigate or that tomorrow the judge will release the infiltrator."

In the "Central Station Envelope" they concluded that "in the State of Israel, judges do not turn a blind eye to crime, they encourage crime as long as it does not reach their prestigious neighborhoods. We demand that the Minister of Justice and Interior Supreme Court.

It is time for her and her judges to provide us with explanations. "
