In the video: Sigalit Haimovich is released from prison (Walla system!)

Asher Rozman, the stepfather of the boy Assaf Steirman who was murdered 25 years ago in Kfar Saba, said today (Thursday) in response to the release from prison of one of the murderers, Sigalit Haimovich, after 21 years, that he "sees no room for forgiveness, not even after 200 years."

"I see in the networks people say this, not as a question, but as' OK, 21 years sitting, let's give her a chance to correct herself '- and I say in my heart to everyone I hear says this:' Let's imagine your son or you Your daughter is lying or sprawled on the ground, begging for his life - and this killer helps the killer and continues, and he begs and shouts 'Amale I want to live', and she continues, "Rozman says in an interview with Nissim Mashaal and Guy Peleg on 103fm radio, emphasizing:" For us, if she She would spend the rest of her life in prison - that was not enough either. Assaf Steirman, 18, was murdered in December 1996 in the Ussishkin grove, between Kfar Saba and Hod Hasharon.

The murder remained unsolved for four years, until in December 2000, Rei Horev's wife complained to the police that he had attacked her and said that after their marriage he confessed to her about the murder he had committed.

Horev was arrested and admitted to murdering Steirman in the presence of Sigalit Haimovich, who assisted him in the act, and Lehi Gluzman.

Haimovich, 17, at the time of the incident, was sentenced to 24 years in prison, and she was finally released yesterday, three years before the set date, after being released early.

Rozman said it was a very difficult week for his family, explaining that although the parole board had shown compassion for Haimovich, they strongly opposed her release. "Assaf is unable to face a release committee, and he has been buried in the ground for 25 years," he said. "This lady I do not want and can not mention her name - we do not buy the stories of understanding and that she has absorbed what she did and that she is now in rehabilitation and good behavior." Whoever murdered with his own hands a boy whom [she] did not know, and was an accomplice to the murder and everything she did together with her accomplices ... there is no such thing as good behavior afterwards. We have resisted and are vehemently opposed to this release and our hands are bound, but we have tried to do everything we can. We knew the chances were slim. "

"We are not talking about a conflict that suddenly someone exploded and something happened to him and he killed accidentally or while angry. We are talking about three children, boys, a boy and two girls, who in cold blood decided no matter who, that evening they should murder someone," Roseman added. Who said he hopes not to see Haimovich.

"We understood from the State Attorney's Office that she is limited in her release. In the coming years she will not be able to approach Kfar Saba and she is closely monitored. She does not go to summer camp, at least this one. She is under surveillance and supervision of one kind or another."
