It was the first since Corona, and the first of the new mayor Klaus Kögel: A good 20 guests attended the Seefeld citizens' meeting, which took place in the Hechendorfer gym.

Much more, namely around 60 people, watched the video transmission on the screens at home.

Hechendorf

- Everything is different because of Corona. So the citizens' meeting of the Seefeld community took place on Tuesday in the Hechendorfer gymnasium, where the corona hygiene concepts can best be implemented. Further information events followed yesterday evening in Oberalting, next week two more are to take place in Meiling (November 16, 7 p.m., fire station) and Unering (November 17, 7 p.m., fire station) - if the infection situation allows. The event in the gym was broadcast on video. This is probably one of the reasons why the number of participants in the hall remained manageable with a good 20 people.

Finances, clinics, local development, civil engineering and social affairs - Kögel took stock for a good hour. The finances of the community have developed better than expected. However, this also has to do with Corona. Trade tax income, at 7.8 million euros, was one million euros higher than expected. This is not a reason for great joy. Because the money comes from back payments for 2020. “We can't count on that next year,” said Kögel. A restrictive budget planning is therefore still necessary. But at least the community doesn't have to take out a loan. However, Kögel is already shuddering before the district levy in 2022. He assumes an increase with lower tax revenues.

The pandemic has slowed down local development.

But from spring 2022, the municipality will provide for new public participation formats.

At the end of the year, the municipal councils will go into retreat, the focus is on the development of the local centers, announced Kögel.

A feat of strength lies behind the municipality when it comes to the construction of pipes for the water supply by the AWA.

Around 4.6 kilometers of lines were built between 2020 and 2021, and a further three kilometers will be added in 2022/23.

A canal inspection is planned for the ailing Bahnhofstrasse in Hechendorf; Kögel assumes that the street will be renovated in the summer holidays of 2022.

In terms of broadband coverage, the community has come to an agreement with Telekom, announced Kögel. An expansion with "super vectoring" is planned for Hechendorf and Meiling, which ensures high bit rates. “We do it where we can.” Telekom will soon start marketing direct fiber optic connections in Seefeld, “the community is taking part in a new federal funding process for this”.

Only a few questions came from the audience, but two about the barrier-free expansion of the Hechendorfer train station and the double-track expansion of the S-Bahn line between Steinebach and Hechendorf. "For two years now, Deutsche Bahn has been promising us that there will be an information event on this," said Kögel, speaking of a "difficult and unreliable partner". But he also knows that the schedule is "extremely lagging". Kögel took up the suggestion of a listener to rethink the expansion for reasons of nature conservation. “But I believe that the railway has already made this decision.” The decision to build a new clinic also plays a role in the barrier-free expansion. As reported, there are still three locations in the running there,Most recently, District Administrator Stefan Frey spoke positively about negotiations on properties on Seefelder Strasse in Herrsching. Should it come to a realization in Hechendorf on the property next to the cemetery, the expansion of the station will also look different, so Kögel. "So we wait."

The video for the event can be seen on the municipality's website at www.seefeld.de.
