The corona numbers in Bavaria are skyrocketing.

The Regener district administrator expects an enormous increase in patients.

The anger towards unvaccinated people in the clinics is increasing.

Rain - In Bavaria, the disaster has been in effect since today (November 11th).

The number of corona deaths in the Free State is increasing rapidly.

At lunchtime, Prime Minister Markus Söder will therefore consult with clinic representatives about the corona situation in hospitals and intensive care units.

The situation is particularly dramatic in the hotspots, where the incidences are scratching the 1,000 mark.

In the Rottal-Inn district it is already 1140.4, which is why the district administrator has spoken out with a desperate statement.

Miesbach and Mühldorf am Inn are also only slightly behind.

Rain is also one of the nationwide Corona * problem children.

The district administrator Rita Röhrl sees a "catastrophic winter" coming in view of the increasing numbers, reports the BR.

Corona situation in Bavarian hotspot: District Administrator worried - "soon no longer to be dealt with"

The district administrator looks to the coming winter with great concern.

In contrast to last winter, numerous patients from accidents would also be added to the corona cases.

Ski areas are open, so they expect a wave of free leg injuries, said Röhrl in a press conference at the Arberlandklinik Viechtach.

"I dread this winter, which is obviously preparing to pretend a completely normal life," the BR quotes the district administrator literally, "which we don't have in our hospitals."

There will soon be more counties with a 7-day incidence * over 1,000 and then at some point the situation will no longer be manageable, said Röhrl.

“We're starting to get used to this madness,” says the district administrator, “but that's the dangerous thing”.

It is then simply no longer possible.

District of Regen: The anger against unvaccinated people is increasing in the clinics

The two clinics in the Regen district * are already at their limit.

The number of intensive care beds cannot simply be increased, explain the two medical directors of the Arberland clinics.

There is a lack of staff and space.

Doctors and nurses were exhausted after the months of the pandemic and there were repeated dismissals, the BR quotes the medical director in Viechtach.

At the same time, the “anger against unvaccinated people” is gradually increasing among the staff, emphasized District Administrator Röhrl according to BR. The last treated corona patients in Zwiesel and Viechtach were all but one unvaccinated. It no longer only affects the elderly, the doctors explain at the press conference. Among the eleven corona deaths in the district so far in the second half of the year, for example, there was also a 46-year-old, unvaccinated woman who was only slightly ill.

The good news: The demand for corona vaccinations has increased significantly in the past few days.

"Today we were almost overwhelmed by the onslaught", the director of the Regener vaccination center, Stefan Brücklmayer, told the BR.

Around 800 people would have been vaccinated against the virus, more than has been in a long time.
