Now the group would like to inspire customers to shop in its stores again with a new store concept.

The focus here should be on the feel-good atmosphere, as the

To this end, the areas of beauty, fragrance and photo are to be redesigned.

Suppliers have already been informed of the upcoming innovations.

Dm would like to try out the new concept with the help of various test markets.

A renovation of all other stores is then expected in the course of the next year.

The aim of the innovations is to achieve more growth and more frequency.

Due to the corona pandemic, many customers have preferred to do all their shopping in one store.

So so-called full-range suppliers had an advantage here over dm.

The locations at train stations, city centers and in shopping centers were also significantly less visited due to the pandemic.

Since April 2021, however, things have been on the up again and dm is regaining market share.

A supplier told the

But the drugstore has not lost sight of the importance of online trading.

The option of express pick-up in the store was used for almost every fifth online order.

Dm describes this service on its website as a “sustainable alternative to online shopping”.

This means that the goods can be picked up in a dm store three hours after the order has been placed.

As the subject of online shopping is becoming more and more dynamic, dm is expanding express delivery, which was previously only available in Karlsruhe, to the cities of Munich and Berlin.

If you order something before 6 p.m. with this option, the goods will be delivered to your home on the same day by cargo bike.
