After more than three months of construction in the center of Oberpframmern, the road was opened again on Thursday.
Oberpframmern - According to Mayor Andreas Lutz, the road improvement primarily serves the safety of the weaker road users.
The sidewalks were widened and a crossing aid was built to cross State Road 2081.
After several other locations for a crossing aid on State Road 2079 were rejected or were not feasible, "we are happy to finally be able to provide a safe crossing from east to west to cross the busy state road," said Lutz.
Free travel for Oberpframmern: road can be used again without traffic lights
In addition, the rain drainage canal from the 1970s had to be renewed.
This could no longer withstand the increasing heavy goods traffic.
From now on, the town center is freely accessible again in all directions without traffic lights.
