On the Spanish island of La Palma, gigantic balls of volcanic matter from the Cumbre Vieja rolled this Wednesday through the lava waterfalls until they reached the sea.
According to the scientists, they are generated within a flow and in a denser part of the melt that forms a core, and - with the incorporation of other materials - it can have dimensions ranging from a few centimeters to several meters.
