Under the new election system, the nomination period has become a frontline for the Legislative Council election. Tang Yingnian, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, has used the nomination power in direct elections, functional constituencies, and electoral committees.

When he attended the event this morning (11th), he pointed out that the Central Committee had clearly stated that it hoped that the Parliament would have multiple voices, because Hong Kong is a pluralistic society and did not want to be "uniform" from beginning to end.

Tang Yingnian is pleased that people from different backgrounds can participate in the election. He believes that it will help bring the voices of different sectors of society into the parliament, and will make the discussion healthier and more active.

Tang Yingnian said that he nominated Sheng Zhiwen (electing committee sector), Chen Yong (functional constituency) and Tian Beichen (directly elected) in the three sectors.

He also commented one by one, saying that he had known Sheng Zhiwen for many years, and that Sheng was naturalized as a Chinese citizen by Canadian nationality, and believed that he could represent Hong Kong; while Chen Yong loved the country and Hong Kong, and was elected as the "Super Patriot Seat." The CPPCC and national organizations are very suitable; Tian Beichen's regional services are quite thorough.

In the northwestern New Territories where Tian Beichen was elected, the DAB Zhou Haoding and the new thinking Huang Junlang have already signed up.

Chen Yong's opponent is Xie Xiaohong from the National Youth Federation.
