In view of the current corona situation, party friend Fabian Mehring believes that - should Hubert Aiwanger continue to do without a corona vaccination - is possible.
But not only his political activity, but Aiwanger's credibility also depends on a corona vaccination, according to the parliamentary manager of the parliamentary group of Free Voters.

Although Mehring thinks “Aiwanger's vote for freedom” in the Corona debate is valuable, the free voter politician of the

on Wednesday (November 11). But his call for normality is only credible if he has been vaccinated himself, said Mehring. "In addition, it will be difficult for him to exercise his public office if he is excluded from the public by the 2G rule that he himself has decided."
Aiwanger is the only minister in the Bavarian cabinet who has not yet decided in favor of a corona vaccination.
The head of the Free Voters justified this decision, among other things, with reports of massive side effects also in his circle of friends.
At the same time, he stressed that nobody should press him into making this personal decision.
Since then, Aiwanger has been regularly tested for the virus before public appearances or cabinet visits.
2G rule restricts Aiwanger - Free voters call for vaccination
In the case of a nationwide 2G rule, Aiwanger would be denied this option, as those tested would then also be subject to access restrictions at public events. In practice, Aiwanger should already feel this principle in the coming week: At the press reception of his own parliamentary group, the 2G rule will then already apply - so Aiwanger has no access here.

Vaccination and testing are the only weapons against Corona.
"We are currently fighting on two fronts - against the virus and against a wandering part of our society that ignores all scientific facts." In the interview, he left open whether Mehring was also referring to Aiwanger.
