The Palestinian Authority's foreign ministry said today (Thursday) that the spyware of the Israeli cyber company NSO was located on the phones of three senior Palestinians, and accused Israel of using Pegasus software to eavesdrop on them.
This is the first time that Palestinian officials have accused Israel of using NSO software to spy on them, and the announcement comes days after the software was found on the phones of six Palestinian activists.
A Palestinian source told Walla!
Because the three senior officials whose phones were hacked were responsible for the issue of the prosecution against Israel in the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Israel has not yet responded to the Palestinian allegations.
The NSO is in a serious crisis, and it was reported today that the incoming CEO's appointment has been revoked following US accusations that its spyware programming has served tyrannical regimes around the world.
