About 200 demonstrators gathered tonight (Thursday) at the entrance to the city of Jerusalem, demanding that the police officers involved be prosecuted in pursuit of their beloved godfather about a year ago.
The entrance road to Jerusalem was blocked at the initiative of the police from the Givat Shaul junction to the Herzl junction from the Begin interchange, and heavy traffic was recorded in the area.
Police are directing drivers to alternative routes.
Due to concerns about roadblocks in the area, district police have begun preparations for the protest.
Large police forces were deployed at the site and at nearby intersections.
Police and Border Police forces are currently operating near the String Bridge at the entrance to the city of Jerusalem, following a protest taking place there.

The protest over the death of her beloved godfather was renewed to mark the anniversary of his death.
Since Godfather was killed in December 2020, when the vehicle he was traveling in overturned at the end of a police chase, widespread protests against police have begun.
On Saturday, hundreds of protesters blocked Highway 1. Some of the protesters climbed into and fortified buses, hurled stones at police and hit vehicles.
Police said 21 suspects were arrested for disturbing public order.
