The current corona case numbers are worrying.

This development means that more and more people who were previously skeptical about vaccination are now opting for immunization.

For this group, but also for those who wanted a booster vaccination, the vaccination mobile stopped at the mountain rescue service in Lenggries on Wednesday.

Lenggries

- Even before it opened its door at 2 p.m., there was a long line of people willing to be vaccinated in the courtyard of the mountain rescue service.

“There was a lot more rush at the last stops the vaccination bus made.

There were a lot of people there, ”says Andreas Repohl.

The doctor has already injected injections into the vaccination bus of the Aicher ambulance over the past few days.

"75 to 80 percent are booster vaccinations that we administer, but the first vaccinations have also increased."

With the vaccination mobile, people aged 70 and over or people with a previous illness can receive the booster vaccination - provided that the second vaccination was at least six months ago.

Most of the people who come to be vaccinated are very friendly, the doctor said.

“But there are also a few unruly.

Those who get their third vaccination are very grateful. "

Waiting for camping chairs

Out of the many people standing in line at the vaccination mobile, two catch the eye who have brought camping chairs with them.

"Yesterday we stood in line for three hours at the vaccination vehicle in Tölz and were then sent away again," explains Nadine Mayer.

That's why she and her 13-year-old son Samuel prepared today.

“We also have tea and things to study with us.” Since Samuel wants to do sports and ski, he decided to have a vaccination.

"I'm happy when it's through and I'm allowed to do everything again," says the young person.

That is also the reason why a 14-year-old who is also waiting in line with her mother decided to have the vaccination.

"In a club or a group you have no other option," says the mother.

“Otherwise we would have waited a little longer.

We have some respect when it comes to vaccinating young people, ”she says.

But the daughter is not afraid of the vaccination.

“The new rules made the decision easy for me,” she explains.

Seniors want booster vaccination

A little further on, Elisabeth Deißenberger is waiting with her husband and sister.

The three of them came here to get their booster vaccinations.

“At first we asked the family doctor, but nothing worked,” said the 83-year-old.

"Then I happened to read in the newspaper that the vaccination bus stops here today." She was happy about the opportunity to vaccinate.

“It's not just about protecting yourself, but also protecting others,” says Deißenberger.

The 14-year-old Quirin also gets vaccinated because he wants to ski.

“It's already the second vaccination for him,” explains his mother.

Would he have picked up the syringe even without the new rules?

"Yes.

It's the mixture of 'I want to ski' and 'It has to be anyway'. "

Katharina Figura came to the vaccination bus to have her first vaccination administered.

This is her third attempt to get an injection, she reports.

She too had been waiting in vain at the vaccination bus the days before.

“I waited before the vaccination because I have an almost three-month-old baby at home,” she says.

“I thought about it for a long time and talked to a lot of doctors.” Although she still has mixed feelings about the vaccination, the 33-year-old has now decided to go for it.

"Having Corona is probably the bigger problem."
